Tax season is coming, and with it the chance to decide what happens to 2% of your tax. Every year, individuals and companies in Slovakia can assign a share of the income tax they have paid to non-governmental non-profit organisations for public-benefit activities. It is not an extra charge – just a decision (in Slovak) whether 2% of your income tax stays in the state budget or goes to a good cause.
