# Darujme deťom nádej

> Since 2002, the civic association Darujme deťom nádej has supported the TETIS Specialised Children's Rehabilitation Hospital in Dunajská Lužná, Slovakia, and families of children with disabilities.

The civic association Darujme deťom nádej was founded in 2002 alongside the Children's Rehabilitation Centre in Dunajská Lužná, today the TETIS Specialised Children's Rehabilitation Hospital. We help children with disabilities and their families – funding therapies, hospital equipment and contributions to families in need.

## What we have achieved with your help

- [Canine therapy](https://www.darujmedetomnadej.sk/en/projects/canine-therapy.md): In 2007 a canine therapy team with Sardy, a golden retriever, visited our patients. The project continued in 2008 thanks to a grant from VÚB banka.
- [Setting up an occupational therapy room](https://www.darujmedetomnadej.sk/en/projects/occupational-therapy.md): The occupational therapy room helps children with cerebral palsy train their fine motor skills and become more independent.
- [Hippotherapy](https://www.darujmedetomnadej.sk/en/projects/hippotherapy.md): Thanks to a gift from the SPP Foundation, our patients took part in hippotherapy at the riding grounds in Alžbetin Dvor.
- [Hydrotherapy unit](https://www.darujmedetomnadej.sk/en/projects/hydrotherapy-unit.md): The association bought hydromassage baths and so helped set up the hydrotherapy unit, which opened in 2007.
